Golden Onion Rings

Cut 6 white mild onions into slices ¼” thick. Separate into rings.

Batter:
Combine 1 c. plus 2 TB. flour
1 slightly beaten egg
½ tea. Salt
1 c. milk
2 TB. oil

Beat together just until the dry ingredients are well moistened. Coat onion rings with some flour then some egg, then the batter. Fry a few at a time in deep fat 375 degrees, stirring once to separate rings. When onions are golden, drain on paper towels. Just before serving, sprinkle with salt
